Hardness reduction cartridge

In many parts of the UK, mains drinking water can contain very high levels of hardness. The effects of hardness are most visible in beverages such as tea and coffee (creating a scale or scum on the surface). Scaling can also cause kettles to "fur up" with a which calcium residue. These cartridges will need changing every 3 to 6 months dependent on the amount of water used and the water chemistry. Please note, the flow through this filter is relatively low (4 to 6 litres per minute) which means it is best fitted in a filter housing that feeds a separate sink top drinking faucet.
